1978 Islander 28 This Islander was brought to Roosevelt in December 2004. Due to a change in job, we are forced, regrettably, to sell her. She was previously berthed in Marina del Rey. Prior to splashing in Roosevelt, the yard dropped and rebedded the keel, filled opened blisters with vinylester, and put two coats of Micron CSC. All standing rigging was replaced and the bimini was added. Islanders were build in California to moderately high standards. Robert Perry is a world class designer and considers the 28 to be one of his finest designs. The boat sails fast and smooth, and is extremely comfortable inside for two adults with two children. There is no trailer with the boat. A survey was commissioned in 2004 and is available for inspection. Location: Roosevelt Lake Marina, Arizona. Slip contracted until April 2006.
