Aside from the transportability aspect, any vessel that does not have to be moored in a marina gives the buyer some very attractive cost saving options that would not otherwise be available.
Marina
dockage for a 25' sloop can now cost upwards of $250-$350 per month or
more, depending on the area. But that same vessel parked in a commercial
storage lot will cost $50 or $75 per month... And of course in the
driveway or backyard, she's free.
Incidentally,
trailer-sailors can also be a very good niche for investors in remote or
inland locations. With a good-quality digital camera, a simple website
and some well-placed ads, it is relatively easy to find buyers from just
about anywhere. > more info
