TIP #1: For best results, be sure to include the 'smaller' newspaper publications with your search. Lower advertising rates attract motivated sellers including trustees (estate sales, donations, liquidations, etc.). Also, we find that some sellers will place an ad in the town where they live, versus in the town where the boat is actually located.
For example, there may be a seller who lives in Louisville and advertises their boat in the Courier-Journal, even if the boat is actually located in Kentucky Lake.
TIP #2: There's no reason to pay retail for a sailboat. Each boat is an investment and with the use of certain techniques, most vessels can be bought down at the wholesale level. > find out more
